Since the institution plays a more prominent, ongoing role in distance education, supporting students is indispensable to student learning. Our staff are committed to being there for our distance students, and to that end we are eager to assist students in any way we can.
Alice Hathaway—the Virtual Campus
Registrar, and Dr. Peterson's assistant—is a key link in our communication with students. She guides students through the process of signing up for classes, advising them on which courses to take in what order, registering them for courses, providing transcripts, and sometimes just listening. Alice is also a great person for almost any question about RTS Virtual; if she doesn't know the answer, she can direct you to the right person or find the answer for you.
Since media play such an important role in distance education (after all, it's how we deliver our course content to you!),
Course Development is a key component at RTS Virtual, and is responsible for the production and delivery of all media related to the Virtual Campus.
Support for students at every phase of their course or program is essential in distance education. Our office of
Student Services fills this role. The Student Services staff relate to students concerning all
course assignments. They send out paper exams, receive and log exams, pass them on to graders, communicate with students about the status of their assignments, and field questions from students.
