Online accredited degrees are the answer for people who want an on-campus education without stepping away from their current lifestyle commitments.  The Reformed Theological Seminary Virtual Campus offers an online accredited degree, bringing a Masters level theological education to prospective students.  Through distance education, the MA (Religion) online accredited degree program provides access to graduate-level seminary education for students who are unable to attend classes on a residential campus. The Virtual Campus gives you all of the benefits of a seminary education without requiring you to relocate.

With their online accredited degree, RTS Virtual is committed to being on the cutting edge of technology, from learner-centered course design and delivery, to adult distance education, and student support—all for the purpose of providing non-traditional students with an optimal learning experience. Through RTS Virtual, you can obtain formal theological education from RTS without the necessity of attending an on-campus classroom, making it possible for you to study and apply your learning within your current ministry context.  In short, RTS Virtual brings an online accredited degree to you, wherever you are!

The curriculum for the online accredited degree is based on the Master of Arts in Religion degree and is equivalent to the two-year residential version. The degree equips students with a survey of knowledge from various theological disciplines, and students complete a thesis on an academic topic of personal, professional, and ministerial relevance.  For the online accredited degree, MA (Religion) students are required to complete two on-campus seminars during their degree work, worth a total of 6 credit hours. The remainder of the degree’s work is completed entirely through the distance education courses of the Virtual Campus.  RTS Virtual’s mentoring program is also a fundamental and dynamic component of the MAR online accredited degree. Mentors meet and communicate with students regularly, helping them to apply the content of their courses to the context of family and home-church ministry.

The Virtual Campus of Reformed Theological Seminary is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the MAR degree.  For more information about our online accredited degree, please write or call today, or click here (insert link) to begin your application process!
